ACCESS Virtual Learning (Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators and Students Statewide) is an education initiative of the Alabama Department of Education. It provides opportunities and options for Alabama all middle and high school students to engage in Advanced Placement, elective and other courses they may not otherwise be able to access or schedule. ACCESS offers all of the following absolutely free:
- Supplemental and blended courses available to every sixth through 12th grade school in Alabama
- Credit recovery courses
- Advanced Placement courses
- Foreign language courses
- Alabama certified teachers in all courses
- NCAA-compliant courses
When, where and how many courses the student takes is determined by the local school.
