What to do with a grade when students transfer mid-semester from a brick-and-mortar school:

Determine the appropriate starting unit. Record the previously earned grade (from the brick-and-mortar school) for all assignments in the previous units in Schoology. In the comments section of the assignment, the teacher will state “transfer grade.”

For example, if the student enters the course in Unit 3, the transfer grade will be entered for every assignment in Units 1 and 2. Thus, if the student enters the course with an 80, the teacher would enter a 16 for a 20-point assignment (or prorated appropriately for a different scale). In the comments section of the assignment, the teacher will state “transfer grade.”
